I got a chance to connect with some of my students, the ones who seem to cause the most trouble. I do not know why, but I always am drawn to the troublemakers. One day, a student got in trouble and I had to walk him to the office. On our walk, I had a small converstaion with him. I told him I want him to improve his behavior so he can participate in our activities. I told him I hate it when he is not in the classroom to partcipate. I just wanted him to feel important and part of the class.
I always want to become their friend and find a way to change their habits. I learned many of my students like rap music. I talked to my teacher and she found me some rap songs for punctuation and grammar. They did so well! They had a quiz right after my lesson and all of them passed. I enjoyed the raps they presented, but I think they enjoyed it even more! Even my teacher was astonished as to how well they did.
